Les Crus Faugeres - wine cave - Le Caveau
"Les Crus Faugères" produces a great amount of wine on behalf of local vignerons. It is located 3 minutes drive from us and offers a variety of wines.
We buy wine by the 5 litre bidon there which they fill up for us and it's just like visiting a petrol station! The price is extremely reasonable and the wine good quality. The cave hosts exhibitions by regional artists and has a selection of wine themed gifts. After the French Revolution, Faugères embarked on the culture of the vine. In the 19th century, the brandy produced was of such quality that they gave it the name of Fine Faugeres and it's still produced today in small quantities and is available at the cave. Directions: GPS N 43 ° 33 '49' 'E 3 ° 10' 26 '' Cellar open 7/7 from 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 7 pm The local wine cave "Les Caus Faugeres" just up on the left past the petrol station in the direction of Bedarieux. |
